My name is Teresa Nieswaag, owner of Threads and Needles. My business was officially started in 2001. My first love was studio art. As a teenager learning to sew in school, a visit to a fabric store opened up many creative possibilities. Sewing, design and machine embroidery now serve as my artistic outlet. I worked at a Husqvarna Viking store in one of their Joann's locations, where I started teaching classes in beginning sewing and machine owner's classes. When the quilting movement caught my interest, I became a certified Square in a Square quilt instructor through Jodi Barrows, the inventor of the Square in a Square system. I was a vendor at numerous sewing and quilt shows in four different states including the Original Sewing and Quilt Expo in Minnesota.
